Fire Protection for Hotels

In 2009 the Consultancy has been awarded a contract to undertake a full review of fire safety in holiday hotels across Europe. This will update the 1999 study for the Federation of Tour Operators which was partly responsible for the renewed interest in hotel fire safety by the European Parliament.

Following successful delivery of the report it was submitted to the European Commission and was the core of a paper presented at a major hotel fire safety conference in Majorca in October 2010.

We have also been retained by Intercontinental Hotels Group to produce a guide to undertaking fire risk assessments in hotels over 25m high.The Consultancy also regularly managed major fire safety upgrades for hotels outside Europe.

Stewart was an adviser to the BBC 'Watchdog' programme on fire safety in hotels and homes in multiple occupation.
